Stop Dog Whining

Your new canine addition just arrived and it will not stop whining. You don’t know how to stop the crying, and your neighbors are complaining about it, too. You are well aware that the whining must stop, but you certainly don’t want to take back the cute little puppy. What methods can be used to accomplish such a task? Luckily, there are ways to help your dog stop whining! By making an unpleasant noise which only the dog can hear, there is an electrical device which will help with the undesirable behavior. Another option used to stop a dog from whining is to be unwavering in your commands to stop anytime the dog commences the noise. This requires you to be there as often as possible when your pup is whining so that your dog can learn to stop whining and start being quite. Certainly, other methods exist to help the dog stop whining which may also stop other undesirable habits, though this pair will be emphasized here.

Electrical devices

To make your dog stop whining, there are electircal devices like the one mentioned above which doesn’t hurt the dog and is inexpensive. Your dog will not like the sound they produce, which will prove to be a key factor in the training process. As a great analogy, imagine hearing a loud, unpleasant sound every time you ate fattening food. To keep from hearing that awful sound one more time, you would probably be willing to give up the fattening food. Such is the concept underlying the noise tools made to prevent a dog from whining. However, if you find that you just don’t like the idea of using the electrical sound device to get your dog to stop whining, there is another method that can be used to break this annoying habit.

Predictable Teaching

Another option for ensuring that the dog stop whining is the owner’s presence whenever the whining begins. Should the whining begin, emit a raucous sound or issue an admonishment. You should never strike the dog. In fact, regardless of the pet’s behavior, it is not right or even effective to hit it. Hitting is is the least effective thing you can do and will only create problems down the road.  There are much more effective solutions to get your dog to stop whining. Clapping a rolled magazine or simply the owner’s two hands are methods to make the dog stop any disfavored activity. The reason these ways are effective is because dogs have very sensitve ears, much more sensitive than ours, and react strongly to a noise that bothers them or causes them distress. Be consistent and do this every time your dog begins to whine. Soon enough your dog will stop whining; you and your children will then have the puppy of your dreams.
