The English Setter Hall of Fame is devoted to showcasing the best that the breed has to offer. In order to have the honor of making it one to this list, the dog has to prove that it is the best of the best. The dog will be put through field trials in order to see if they will place for the next completion. Heat after heat the dogs are eliminated. At the end the champion will make it to the hall of fame.

If you think that you have a great hunting dog and you want to make a run for the hall of fame, remember to start our small. Join a club for English Setter owners; these clubs are constantly holding competitions. Allow your dog to compete in one of these.

Competing small is one way to see how your dog is going to act under pressure. If your dog does well than you can look into more serious events. Keep in mind that it will take a lot of practicing. If you have that time and you are dedicated to it then go for it.

The English Setter Hall of Fame can be viewed online. Along with the names of the dogs, the breeder that sold them, and the trainer that trained them, also the times that they held in the field trials. This is helpful for many different reasons.

One is that if you want to raise a trial dog you now have the list of all the past breeders of Hall of Famers. One top of that you know who to call to train them, and what time you need your dog to be able to beat in order to be champ.
